Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva Bakan

Bakán Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva is made from grapes grown in Ancarano and Controguerra, in the province of Teramo in Northern Abruzzo from a south-east facing fifty-year-old vines, at an altitude of 290 meters above sea level.

The fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel vats. At the end of malolactic fermentation, the wine rests in cement vats for 6 months, then matures in used barriques for a further 12 months and refines in the bottle for at least another 6.

Intense aroma of black berry and coffee notes. On the palate the wine is soft, round and complex with balsamic and spicy notes and with a long chocolate finish.
