Moscato di Baselice
Full Bodied Sweet White (Passito)
Masseria Frattasi loves the hard way of making wines. They have no fears in engaging with mountain viticulture, battling the elements in the pursuit of creating something great.
The Muscat grapes are harvested in a small, bush-trained (alberello) vineyard at 700 metres a.s.l. Low yields vines give exceptional grapes that are naturally dried for 30-40 days. The wine refines for at least two years in barriques.
This Moscato is a Campanian gem. Lighter and fresher than Sauternes with entrancing bouquet of apricots, ripe apples and honey which then evolves on floral notes of acacia and broom. On the palate is fresh with a touch of acidity. A very long, lingering finish.
