Manual selection of the grapes harvested towards the end of October in a 40 year old vineyard in Colonnella and Controguerra with optimal exposure and low yield.
The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks thermo-conditioned and after the malolactic fermentation matures in wood barrel (50 hl) and barriques for 10 months and then ages in bottle for at least 6 months.
Brilliant ruby red in colour. The nose is intense and persistent with a spicy bouquet, and hints of chocolate and coffee beans. On the palate it is very well balanced and displays an aroma of juicy fruit supported with an intense balsamic note. Well-balanced with good structure, supple tannins and a long finish.
It expresses perfectly its personality with red meat and game, blue cheese and seasoned salami.
Alcohol (ABV): 14.5%
