Tenuta San Jacopo

The estate, suspended between the Valdarno and the first hills of Chianti, a few kilometers from Cavriglia and Gaiole, is 130 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and woods that has regained its ancient prestige thanks to the vision and work of the Cattaneo family. When the three Milanese brothers Vanni, Carlo and Marco bought the eighteenth century villa and farmhouses in 2002, they were driven to enhance the identity of the place and innovate with an entrepreneurial spirit, to combine the tradition of Tuscan product culture with Lombard pragmatism.

The first of their goals was to create "great" wines pleasant to the taste, elegant, respectful of local vines but cared for with modern technologies. Secondly to produce olive oil, enhancing the great, natural vocation of the territory.

Maintenance was carried out on the existing vineyard heritage, preparing the soil, selecting and planting cuttings, all according to organic regulations, aimed at obtaining the healthy, ripe grapes, rich in aromas and body that characterise the history of Tenuta San Jacopo.
